London Writers Centre: How to Write for Comics with Dominique Duong
Tue 3 Feb 2026 to Tue 3 Feb 2026
Ignatz-nominated comic creator Dominique Duong will be hosting a comic writing workshop, teaching you how to write comics as well as important tips and advice.
Through her workshop, Dominique will not only teach you how to write a script, but also comic page composition, storyboarding, and the importance of reading flow.

Drawing is not a requirement for the workshop, even for the sections on composition and storyboarding. Comics is a medium inescapably tied to the visual, but this is a workshop focused primarily on practical skills for improving your comic script writing.

Dominique Duong is an illustrator and comic artist based in London (UK), who creates queer fantasy, horror and romance comics, as well as autobio. At the core of her work, she is most interested in creating stories about damaged people and the dysfunction, solace and complexity of their relationships with each other.
