The full programme for Lyra - Bristol Poetry Festival 2023 is on sale now, including events, readings, writing workshops, open mics, slams, family events, walking tours, talks, panels, a film screening, an audio event, online events and more. Runs from 22nd April - 1st May 2023. Various venues across Bristol.

The festival theme 'City of Words' explores Bristol through the lens of poetry including its people, communities, history, physical spaces and future.

The festival ties in with the city-wide Bristol 650 anniversary project, the 60th anniversary of the Bristol Bus Boycott, and Windrush 75. Runs from 22nd April - 1st May 2023. Various venues across Bristol.

Featuring poets John Agard, Hollie McNish, Anthony Anaxagorou, Vanessa Kisuule, John Hegley, Tony Walsh, Safiya Kamaria Kinshasa, and many more. There are free, captioned and BSL interpreted events, and all venues are wheelchair accessible.

Numerous free events. Ticketed events range from £3-10.
