Wild Winter Writing
Saturday 22nd November 2025 from 10.30am – 1pm.
Explore new ways of getting your writing started, with prompts to embrace wild winter landscapes and find new ways to write nature.

Spring Course: Joy in the Detail
Saturdays 10th January - 7th February 2026, from 10.30am – 1pm.
5-week course: Refine your poetry for publication and embrace editing as a way to reimagine your writing. Using poetic form and techniques, and focusing on the detail of imagery and language, we’ll learn how best to prepare your poems for going out into the world.

About the tutor: Jane Commane is a poet and author of Assembly Lines (Bloodaxe, 2018) and co-author of How to be a Poet. She is a Writing West Midlands Room 204 Writer, a Jerwood Compton Fellow and was awarded The Cholmondeley Award from the Society of Authors in 2025. Jane has taught for The Poetry School and Arvon and featured on BBC Radio 4. She is editor at poetry publisher Nine Arches Press, and co-editor of Under the Radar, a magazine of new writing.
