Our summer term short courses are intensive programmes in specialist writing skills and creative practitioning. Topics include Crime Fiction, Historical Fact to Fiction, Teaching Creative Writing, and Writing About Relationships.

There’s also our two-day summer school where you can choose from a suite of sessions in poetry, fiction, children’s writing, and meet current students and staff, for a taste of life in the Manchester Writing School.
