Our virtual masterclass is back with leading writer-tutors each focusing on a single aspect of the novel writing craft to create a varied week of high-quality workshops.
Tutors:
Lesley Glaister on creating compelling characters that will leap off the page
Claire Hynes on dialogue and voice to bring your fictional scenes to life
Jane Rogers on structuring and plotting to keep the reader hooked
Margaret Wilkinson on identifying and developing your unique authorial style
Craft is crucial. But Mslexia provides a week that will nurture the whole writer so the Mslexia Novel School also includes:
Bec Evans - an experienced writing coach to lead you in motivation and goal-setting workshops
Sue Spencer - a counsellor available for drop-in surgeries for anyone who’s feeling a bit lost
Rosie Garland - novelist, poet and performer extraordinaire to host informal socials to introduce you to fellow writers on the course
And to finish the week in style, we've invited literary agent Amandeep Singh to the final day to offer advice on your next steps.
Workshop groups will be less than 12 people which means your tutors will have time to get to know you and your writing. The core teaching takes place from 10am-4pm, but groups will come together for the coaching workshops and socials to form a community of likeminded writers.
