National Centre for Writing: Travel writing: place and memory with Suzanne Joinson and Agustinus Wibowo
Travel writing offers a unique opportunity to explore fascinating locations and at the same time reveal forgotten depths of our own experiences and memories.
With the expert guidance of travel writers Suzanne Joinson (UK, author of A Lady Cyclist’s Guide to Kashgar) and Agustinus Wibowo (Indonesia, author of Ground Zero), in this workshop you’ll use the evocative power of both place and memory, fact and fiction, to create spellbinding works of travel writing.
This forms part of a two-workshop series led by Suzanne and Agustinus. The other workshop, titled ‘Travel writing: journeys of imagination’, takes place on Friday 9 August.
Date: Thursday 22 August 2019, 2 - 5pm
Location: National Centre for Writing, Dragon Hall, Norwich
