NAWE Member Meet-Up / September 2025
Wed 10 Sep 2025 to Wed 10 Sep 2025
Our NAWE Members Meet-Up on Wednesday 10 September 2025 will be a chance to meet up with other NAWE Members and share your experiences and thoughts on artificial intelligence.

The focus of this month's Meet-Up is artificial intelligence (AI). What does artificial intelligence mean for you both as a creative writer and as a teacher/facilitator of creative writing? How is it affecting your freelance work and/or work in academia?

We'd love to hear your experiences of AI and your thoughts on the key issues as well as your views on how best NAWE can support you.

The session will be hosted by NAWE Co-Chair Jonathan Davidson with brief opening remarks from NAWE Publications Manager William Gallagher who writes about AI for AppleInsider and is Deputy Chair of the Writers’ Guild, and from Jonathan Taylor who is an author, editor, lecturer and critic and teaches Creative Writing at the University of Leicester.

Date: Wednesday 10 September 2025, 18:00 – 19:00 GMT
Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: Free but booking is essential as capacity is limited.

Register via Eventbrite

In the meantime, you might like to look at The Society of Authors' set of very useful updates on AI.

Dates for future NAWE Member Meet-Ups: If you can't come along in September, we'll be holding further online Meet Ups during 2026 on 14 January, 11 March, 10 June and 9 September.
