Join us online to chat all things Creative Writing PhD through a mix of structured discussion, activities, and informal conversation.
Over the course of the hour, we will hear from the NAWE Acting Co-Chairs about how the network fits into the bigger organisation. We'll reflect together on our PhD journeys, discuss shared challenges, and generate ideas for future network events. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a Padlet which captures a snapshot of the range of PhD creative work underway in 2024 and to tell NAWE what you'd like to hear about at their conference in November.
This is a great opportunity to connect to PhD students beyond your institution - or to find out more if you are thinking about venturing into writing in HE.
All welcome, whether you are underway, thinking about doing one, or otherwise intrigued.
Hosted by Ruth Moore (Exeter) and Elena Traina (Falmouth) with guest speakers Jonathan Davidson and Derek Neale, Acting Co-Chairs of NAWE.
Open to NAWE members and non-members. You don't need to be a member to come along but we do hope that anyone who is not already a member of NAWE will consider joining, at least as a student/associate member (costs just £30 per year). We also have a Professional Graduate Membership for recently graduated creative writing students. More about the benefits of being a NAWE member.
It's free to attend but booking is essential as capacity is limited.
