New Writing South: Writing for Performance with Tim Crouch
Tue 7 Oct 2025 to Tue 7 Oct 2025
A workshop for writers who also think of themselves as theatre-makers; writers who see the act and form of performance as integral to what they write; writers for whom the audience is a fundamental collaborator in the theatrical exchange.

A mix of practical exercises and thinking around ideas of performance and the written word.

Part of First Tuesday Writers.

Tim Crouch is an internationally acclaimed, multi-award winning writer and theatre-maker based in Brighton. His plays include My Arm, An Oak Tree, ENGLAND (a play for galleries), The Author, I, Malvolio, Adler & Gibb, Beginners, Total Immediate Collective Imminent Terrestrial Salvation, Superglue, Truth’s a Dog Must to Kennel and (with Andy Smith) what happens to the hope at the end of the evening.

First Tuesday Writers is here to keep your writing fresh. Taking place on the first Tuesday of every month, each 90-minute session offers a deep dive into a writer’s creative world – designed to challenge and energise you, and lead you to new creative discoveries.
