Peace and Palindrome: A poetry writing workshop with Alison Clayburn
Sat 21 Apr 2018 to Sat 21 Apr 2018
A small, low cost workshop for both new and experienced writers of poetry, facilitated by Alison Clayburn, a poet and fiction writer with thirty years' tutoring experience. This workshop will focus on a topic: peace and then a particular form of poetry: palindrome.

Programme:
1. World peace? Inner peace? What can poetry tell us and can it help? We will look at some published poems to prompt our discussion, then write our own poems.
2. The Palindrome or Mirror poem is a fascinating form, written from front to back then reversing, maybe with some variation. We will look at examples to see how these poems work and then write our own.
3. There will also be time for feedback and advice on any draft poems you already have 'in the oven'. Bring one along!

The group will be small, confidential and supportive.
