PhD Supervisors' Discussion Cafe (free tickets)
Tue 24 Mar 2026 to Tue 24 Mar 2026
An informal community of practice for sharing, networking, collaborating and problem-solving. Participants should be actively engaged in PhD supervision.

The purpose of the PhD Supervisors' Discussion Café is to create an informal peer to peer environment for supervisors - both academic and non-academic - to be able to (a) share best practice in PhD supervision, (b) crowd-source ideas and solutions to challenges, and (c) network.

Our sessions will be held online, on a bi-monthly basis, and are open to all PhD supervisors from across SHAPE and STEM disciplines.

Participants are actively encouraged to suggest topics, speakers to share reflections for discussion, and new ways of working and exploring together.

Participants should be actively engaged in PhD supervision (at a university or partner institution) or working in a Graduate College (or equivalent) providing direct support to PhD students.

On-going, bimonthly

Date of upcoming Discussion Cafe: 24th March 2026, 4-5pm
