Poetry School: Saturday Sessions with Kathryn Simmonds (In-person Course)
Sat 23 May 2026 to Sat 25 Jul 2026
Do you want to take your poetry to a new level? Do you need a gentle boot to write more regularly? Do you want a trustworthy, knowledgeable set of writing colleagues to give you kind but incisive feedback on your poems?

Then, join this long-running course, with a supportive tutor and friendly students, to be assisted and uplifted in your writing, as we workshop drafts of your poems-in-progress each month, offering considered advice, developmental feedback, and passionate poetic community.

Kathryn Simmonds’s third collection, Scenes from Life on Earth, is published by Salt. Her poems have appeared in various publications including Poetry, The Guardian, The New Statesman, The Poetry Review and The Irish Times and, along with her short stories, have been broadcast on BBC radio. Her first picture book, Be my Sunflower is published by Walker Books. She lives in Norwich with her family and has run a number of courses for The Poetry School.
