Poetry School: The Talking Dead with Lewis Buxton

Join poet and zombie enthusiast, Lewis Buxton, for a workshop all about horror, zombies and deadness in poetry.
We will discuss the intersection of poetry and pop culture, how we can gain inspiration from other art forms, and look at poets who have faced zombies head on. We’ll look at Luke Kennard, John Burnside and Malika Booker, alongside clips of TV shows, films and graphic novels.
Be prepared to pull your poems apart and see how they can be reanimated as we use the one thing all zombies crave – our brains – to make new poems.
Lewis Buxton is a writer and theatre maker. His work focuses on gender, pop culture, and sport and has appeared in Poetry Review, The Rialto and The Independent. His first collection Boy in Various Poses was published by Nine Arches Press followed by Mate Arias from The Emma Press. He lives in Norfolk.
