Portsmouth Writers Hub
Wed 2 Nov 2011 to Wed 2 Nov 2011
A one-stop shop for established and aspiring writers of all genres and abilities

New Writing South, New Theatre Royal Portsmouth and Portsmouth City Council are delighted to be working together to host the Portsmouth Writers’ Hub.

The Writer Hub relaunches on 2nd November, 6.30pm at the New Theatre Royal with a one hour introductory session with the Hub’s ‘Band of Four’ Co-ordinators: Sarah Cheverton, Peter Davison, Lucinda Bell and Anna Barzotti. We will introduce the aims of the Hub and ourselves and to invite participants to suggest their own ideas for the Hub’s future development. Following the one hour session, participants are invited to attend the Portsmouth Bookfest event, Bloodaxe Ten Poets, which begins at 7.30pm.

Portsmouth Writer Hub is the city’s one-stop shop for established and aspiring writers of all genres and abilities. We aim to provide practical resources, support and opportunities to local writers, contributing to the growth and recognition of Portsmouth’s writing community and to actively contribute to the identity of Portsmouth as ‘the home of great writing’.

Sessions run monthly and follow a split format: the first half is devoted to a speaker or workshop and the second half is a networking session for local writers. Each session is free to members of New Writing South or £5 per session to non-members.  Come and find out more.
