Royal Literary Fund: Making Writing Work Part 2: Plot Twist – what to do when a writer’s financial model breaks
Tue 21 Apr 2026 to Tue 21 Apr 2026
On Tuesday, 21 April at 6 PM (GMT), Nick Ahad will return to chair our second free webinar in the Making Writing Work series. Part 2: Plot Twist – what to do when a writer’s financial model breaks will feature our Head of Grants, Justine Palmer, and Robyn Law, Head of Charities at the Society of Authors.

They will talk through the grants, resources, and benefits you can apply for whilst navigating the hard times in your writing career, as well as exploring what support is available to writers when a change in circumstances impacts income. Supported by The Society of Authors.

Throughout 2026, the RLF’s new webinar series, Making Writing Work, will bring together experts and writers to explore the realities, practicalities, financial support opportunities and mindset needed to sustain a professional writing career today.
