Seren Cardiff Poetry Festival: Introducing the Prose Poem Workshop with Carrie Etter

In this workshop, Carrie Etter will share her enthusiasm for the prose poem. We’ll read and discuss examples by such poets as Russell Edson, Claudia Rankine, Hanif Willis-Abdurraqib, among others, try a writing exercise to help us compose one of our own, and conclude with ideas for further exploration.
Carrie Etter’s recent collection The Weather in Normal, is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. The author of four poetry collections, she has also published a book of short stories, an anthology of experimental verse and numerous articles on the craft of prose poetry..
Please bring a pen and paper with you.
