Spread the Word: Shaping Your Story – Mastering Plot & Structure with Jyoti Patel
In this creative writing workshop, author Jyoti Patel walks you through how to build a satisfying plot and narrative structure.
This practical and engaging workshop will explore the theory behind how to organise plot and structure your story. You’ll learn about both classic and contemporary approaches to plot and examine how effective stories are built. We’ll explore how to create a narrative arc, manage pace, and how the right structure can help shape even the most loosely formed idea.
Participants are encouraged to bring either a work-in-progress or a story idea they would like to develop.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and more experienced writers working on adult and children’s fiction.
