Do you have the idea for a fantastic novel burning away at your brain? Have you perhaps fleshed out the characters, thought about the setting, toyed with the plot or even started writing?
Led by a widely published novelist who writes both historical fiction as Joanna Courtney and contemporary fiction as Anna Stuart, this workshop will help you give shape to your ideas so that you can complete that novel and it can burn up the shelves instead of your brain!
We'll look at where to open, how to build to a crisis point, how to weave in subplots and how to create pace and intrigue to hook your reader in and, most importantly of all, to keep them hooked in all the way to the end.
Joanna writes historical novels including the Queens of Conquest series. She is currently working on her new series Shakespeare’s Queens, the first of which to be published is ‘Blood Queen’ She has also published a contemporary novel ‘Bonnie and Stan’ under the pen name Anna Stuart. Joanna studied English literature at University, specialising in medieval literature and lectures in creative writing for the Open University.
