The Poetry Business Online Workshop: Poetry of Childhood, Time, and Change with Romalyn Ante
Mon 19 May 2025 to Mon 19 May 2025
In this generative workshop, we will explore the shifting landscapes of memory through poetry.
We'll reflect on moments of childhood—its wonder, confusion, and discovery—and trace how time reshapes our understanding. Through guided prompts, readings, and discussion, you'll write new poems that dive into the emotional depths of growing up, looking back, and moving forward.

Romalyn Ante FRSL is an award-winning Filipino-British poet, author, and editor. She was born and bred in Lipa, Philippines and migrated to the UK when she was sixteen. Her debut collection, Antiemetic for Homesickness (Chatto, 2020), was shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize and longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize. Her second collection, AGIMAT (Chatto, 2024), was awarded the Arthur Welton Award, and was Poetry Book Society Recommendation and The Observer Poetry Book of the Month.
