From Loss to Light: The Poetry of Grief Transformation

This two-session online workshop invites participants to explore profound themes of grief, healing, beauty, and transformation through the mindful practice of reading and writing poetry. We will examine various aspects of human emotion - from sorrow to hope and loss to renewal. This workshop encourages creative expression and imaginative thinking to foster deeper self-awareness and spiritual insight.

Each session will start with mindfulness exercises to centre the mind and heart, creating a safe space for emotional exploration. Participants will then engage in discussions of thought-provoking poetry and writing prompts to reflect on grief, healing, and spiritual growth. Finally, we will conclude with a gratitude exercise to promote ongoing healing and hope.

This workshop expands beyond traditional stories of loss and recovery, inviting participants to view grief as a catalyst for creativity, meaning, beauty, and transformation. Through poetry, we will honour the dark while reaching for the light.
