The Well Review Poetry Education Programme (Online)
Thu 2 Sep 2021 to Thu 25 Nov 2021
Our new poetry education programme brings together professional poets, scientists and practitioners and connects them with writers who are at any stage of their creative development. Each cycle (Sleep, Childhood, The First Person) will have two guests, usually during the middle weeks with introductory and reflection sessions led by Sarah Byrne.

Sleep: Dr. Robert Stickgold (Lecture & Q&A) and Mary-Jane Holmes (Interactive Poetry Workshop)

Childhood: Eoghan Dalton (Lecture & Q&A) and Matthew Dickman (Interactive Poetry Workshop)

The First Person: Dr. Anil Seth (Lecture & Q&A) and Ellen Bass (Interactive Poetry Workshop)

Each cycle will include close readings, writing exercises and craft conversations. Materials will be provided to all participants ahead of sessions.

You are welcome to register for more than one cycle. In addition to the four Zoom meetings, you will also receive a 1:1 editorial session with Sarah Byrne during the course!

Places are limited to eight participants.

Dates: Thursdays at 8pm-10pm, 2 September - 25 November 2021
Location: Online via Zoom
Fee: €300.00 per cycle
