The Write Space – Writing for Wellbeing with Cathy Grindrod (Online)
Tue 14 Jul 2020 to Thu 10 Dec 2020
Life can be overwhelmingly busy, noisy and crowded. This series of practical online writing sessions is for anyone that would like to regularly escape to a calm space for a while to connect with themselves and their creativity. This is a Writing East Midlands digital residency, in partnership with Nottingham Central Library – the workshops are part of the Writers Highway.

You will be free to write in whatever way works best for you, and given supportive guided exercises and a monthly writing suggestion to take away.

Preference will be given to participants who book within the Nottingham City Council area and bookings from other areas will be made on a first come, first served basis.

Cathy Grindrod is an experienced creative writing facilitator, mentor and life coach, specialising in Writing for Wellbeing. She runs an independent programme of support for writers focused on wellbeing – The Writer Highway – which also forms partnerships with other arts organisations.Cathy was awarded an Honorary MLitt by Derby University in 2014 for her work enhancing mental health through writing across Derbyshire communities.  She is a widely published poet and former Derbyshire Poet Laureate, playwright and memoir writer.
