Touchpoints: a writing workshop for the loving and disoriented
Thu 4 Jun 2026 to Thu 4 Jun 2026
In this workshop, we’ll explore writing as a form of contact. Drawing on the idea of the touchpoint — a light reference that helps the body orient — we’ll experiment with gentle structures that support rather than punish. Together, we’ll think about deadlines, extensions, species loneliness, and the need for companionship in creative work.

Feeling lost in your writing/creative practice? Not sure which subjects or objects you should be turning towards? Unsupported by the containers you are working within? Wanting to reach out with your work but not sure how and to whom?

In this space, we will practise:

• writing alongside rather than alone
• building loving structures around our work
• offering one another touchpoints instead of critique
• non-normative wayfinding
• making contact where there has been drift
• more-than-human companionship

The exercises in the session will combine somatic and writing practices – however, this session is not only for writers! Come along if any of the above resonates with you.

Date: 4th June 2026, 7-9pm (GMT)
Location: Zoom (session will be recorded; all participants will receive a playback)
Cost: Sliding scale prices, starting at £15
