Transfixions Workshop Series with Remi Graves
Thu 19 Mar 2026 to Thu 2 Apr 2026
Transfixions is a brand new four-part workshop series which explores obsession as a creative catalyst. The series runs during March and April 2026, looking at works from Shane McCrae, Taylor Johnson, Judy Grahn and more. Sign up for one or more workshops in the series.

Are words keeping you up at night? Do you take photos of the same things over and over again? These could be the beginning of writings, poems, somethings…

Throughout this new new four-part workshop series, we’ll explore obsession as a guide and catalyst for new work. We’ll delve deeper into the images, words and ideas that you can’t escape from. Looking at writing from Taylor Johnson, Lydia Davis, Gboyega Odubanjo and more will help us generate new work.

Each workshop will focus on a different theme and ask you to consider your own preoccupations in relation to the theme. Through readings, analysis and play we’ll find new ways to dive into our own ruminations, using them as lenses and fuel for new work.

By the end of the series, you’ll have early drafts of new poems, a healthy reading list and tools to spark your own writing further down the line.

Whether you’re new to poetry or write often, if you’ve ever had a creative fixation this is for you!

Please note: Although the series started on March 12th, the workshops are standalone and you can join the series at any time.
