Troubador Publishing: Editing for Authors with Cressida Downing
Fri 15 Jul 2022 to Fri 15 Jul 2022
The importance of editing your own work; an interactive workshop for authors. This editing workshop covers the five most common mistakes seen from authors in writing, and looks at how best to avoid them.

The workshop also covers the different types of editing available to authors, and which to use at what stages of manuscript preparation. Participants will be editing their own work during the day, to gain an understanding of the editing processes in general, to learn the best way to work with an external editor without compromising your work's integrity, and to emphasise the importance of a synopsis when submitting your work for publication.

Workshop leader Cressida Downing has over 15 years' experience in publishing and bookselling, and works with authors through her 'Book Analyst' agency to help them produce their best work.
