verse queer creative writing salon: winter term (8 weeks)
Wed 22 Oct 2025 to Wed 10 Dec 2025
verse is a queer-led creative writing group from award-winning poet and playwright Toby Campion. Each weekly workshop is designed to improve your writing craft, nourish your creativity and spark inspiration. For complete beginners & experienced writers looking to re-invigorate their practice.

Workshops often use poetry as a springboard but your writing may be of any genre. Open to all who respect LGBTQ+ spaces, allies very welcome.

During this 8-week course you will:
• take part in 7 stimulating workshops to improve your technique and generate new work (previous themes include: taking risk, honing your voice, telling lies, queering the image, editing, writing the body)
• attend one top live-literature event in London with your cohort
• receive advice and feedback on your work
• discover a wide range of exciting queer authors
• create new pieces of writing each week
• make new friends
• nourish your creativity and overcome writer's block
