WordPath Scotland: Focus Upon your Writing: Mentoring Courses
Fri 20 May 2022 to Sun 4 Dec 2022
Our Long Weekend Mentoring Course has been designed with your writing project in mind… Have a novel or collection of short stories that need that extra push to get them to the finish line? Or a piece of non-fiction or long form journalism that needs that extra something in order to be picked up for publication?

Have an idea for a piece of work but are not sure how to create its structure and refine your approach to its content and style? Or do you simply want the small, specialised attention a mentoring course offers to give you a sense of confidence and ability in your own work?

Whatever your needs, WordPath Scotland are now pleased to tell you that we are offering a series of small mentoring courses, starting in May 2022 running through the summer, offering small classes of no more than four students, hand picked for their projects and ideas so as to form a tight, close knit community of like-minded writers, to work with us in one-to-one sessions and small tutorials which are based around your own work and needs.

We are considering all writers of all skill sets and abilities, published or unpublished, experienced or first timers, for entrance to our mentoring programme that has been designed to start where you are at now and bring your writing along to an end point where you feel confident about being able to complete or publish or both.

Those interested should email us with a statement of purpose and a small sample of work ( no more than 1,000 words). After consideration of your proposal, and if we think we can help you achieve what you aim for, we shall endeavour to find two or three other writers as a good “match” - with writing and ambitions that fit your own.

Once accepted onto the course, you will be given a writing pack that comprises a bespoke reading list that reflects and develops your own writing project as well as a number of small but highly creative exercises designed by the tutors by way of preparing for the course ahead.
