WordPlay at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry with Caleb Parkin & Jasmine Gardosi

Join Nine Arches Press for a lively night of poetry with special guest poets Caleb Parkin and Jasmine Gardosi, plus a chance to share your own poem on the open mic and take part in our rapid-writing warm-up workshop.

Caleb Parkin, Bristol City Poet 2020 - 22, has published widely and shortlisted in various competitions. He tutors for Poetry Society, Poetry School, Cheltenham Festivals, First Story, Arvon and holds an MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes. Debut pamphlet, Wasted Rainbow (tall-lighthouse). Debut collection This Fruiting Body (Nine Arches Press, October 2021). In 2022, he’ll publish a new pamphlet with Broken Sleep and his collected City Poet work.

Jasmine Gardosi is a multiple slam champion, beatboxer, Birmingham Poet Laureate finalist and winner of the Out-Spoken Prize for Poetry. Her work exploring identity, LGBTQ issues and mental health has appeared on Button Poetry, Sky Arts, at the Tate Modern, Glastonbury Festival, across BBC Radio and on America’s Public Broadcasting Service. Her poetry/beatbox/Celtic dubstep show 'Dancing To Music You Hate' explores gender identity and was commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre.
