Write Your Novel with Alison Powell (Online)
Tue 11 Jan 2022 to Tue 29 Nov 2022
This real-time online course is designed to support you as you write your novel. Whether you're at the initial ideas stage, or you already have a manuscript draft underway, regular workshops on craft, quality critique, fortnightly deadlines and the support of your fellow writers are here to help keep you on track. A 12-month course in 3 parts.

Unlike many other writing courses, WriteClub offers real-time online sessions where you will feel part of a team, working towards a common goal.

Week A = Under the Bonnet - workshop on craft
Week B = Feedback on your work with a small committed critique group
40 min 1-1 mentoring sessions and feedback from Alison Powell

Under the bonnet sessions include:
• Staying focused - How to prioritise your writing
• What story are you writing? - Seven basic plots
• Psychic distance - How close are you to the action
• Character archetypes and psychology
• Experiments with form and making more of your story

This is an online course delivered using Zoom, Google folders and Slack. You will need access to a steady internet connection

The Write Your Novel course is divided into three 12-week parts so you can choose to commit to the whole shebang or to take each part separately.

Part 1 - 11th January - 5th April 2022
Part 2 - 26th April - 12th July 2022
