Writing Neurodiversity: Processing Lived Experience through Poetry with Dr Rachel Carney
Tue 27 Jan 2026 to Tue 31 Mar 2026
This online course will offer a safe and supportive space in which to explore, articulate, process and reflect on your own neurodivergent experience, using poetry as a therapeutic tool. Free places available if eligible.

We will respond to negative experiences and stereotypes, but we will also celebrate our neurodivergent strengths, playing with language and poetic techniques to express what it means to be neurodivergent in a neurotypical world.

The course is open to anyone who has (or who thinks they might have) lived experience of neurodivergence (diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or undiagnosed).

The course will be led by neurodivergent poet Dr Rachel Carney, author of 'Octopus Mind' (Seren Books) which was selected as one of The Guardian's Best Poetry Books of 2023.

Dates: 10 weekly Tuesday evening workshops, 7-9pm, from 27th January to 31 March 2026
