Writing School East Midlands: Start Anywhere with Jim Otieno-Hall

Ever wanted to start writing, only to get stuck with where to begin and (once started) how to keep going? This six-week online writing course for beginners welcomes all abilities, and creative ambitions – from the desire to try out different approaches on the page, to a determination to carve out regular time and space for your writing, whatever its form.
You will receive rigorous feedback on a weekly basis that will put your writing goals first – even if the only one you might have, is to simply show up and see where your words take you.
Sundays – you will receive the next module of the course to work on.
Tuesdays – you will receive feedback on the module from the week before.
Saturdays – deadline for sending in your work.
Jim is a writer, educator, and support worker based in Nottingham. His published work includes Upon Arrival, Drop Your Cool (2014), Boy (2015), and ELSEWHERE (forthcoming). He has delivered writing workshops in schools, University, and community settings, where he seeks to increase a participant’s creative confidence both on and off the page.
