Writing West Midlands: Productivity for Writers with William Gallagher
Mon 31 Oct 2022 to Mon 31 Oct 2022
You didn’t become a writer hoping there would be lots of admin and meetings. Yet that admin and the dealing with other people is taking up so much of your time that you’re not getting to do the work you really want.
Even if you were able to solely spend your time writing, writers have to do so much and so many different things, that it feels like we’re not getting anything finished, not getting to move forward.
In this workshop, you’ll see how you make all of that just vanish – but you can make the admin and all other non-writing parts of your work faster and easier. Plus ways of getting the right thing done so that you do progress and you are seen as the writer that producers should turn to.
William Gallagher is a writer of prose and scripts. He’s Deputy Chair of the Writers’ Guild, writes Doctor Who radio dramas and is the author of 19 non-fiction books including the British Film Institute’s BFI TV Classics: The Beiderbecke Affair. His first collection of short stories is due to be published in 2023.
