Writing West Midlands: Public Funding for Creative Writers with Jonathan Davidson (Online)
Mon 18 Oct 2021 to Mon 25 Oct 2021
Join us in our virtual classroom for a two-session short course looking at what types of writing projects might attract public and private funding and how to make a good application. It will focus on funding from Arts Council England through their Lottery Project Grants scheme and their Developing Your Creative Practice scheme.

With numbers strictly limited to 8, the course will look at the qualities of a fundable project, making a case for funding, preparing a budget and how to complete key sections of applications forms. There will be some tasks to be completed between the two sessions of the course.

This course is intended for writers at all stages of their careers, including beginners.

Jonathan Davidson has worked in arts administration for over thirty years. He has worked on a range of funding applications, specialising in funding literature and creative writing projects.
