Writing West Midlands: Write a Synopsis with Olivia Chapman
Tue 2 Nov 2021 to Tue 2 Nov 2021
This two-hour online workshop will teach you in a practical way how to write a synopsis for submission to an agent, producer or competition. Your tutor will be Olivia Chapman from Writing West Midlands.

You’ll learn how to structure your synopsis, what to include and what to leave out, and how to pick out the most important parts of your story.

This workshop is intended for prose writers (both fiction and non-fiction) and scriptwriters.

In order to participate fully, you will need to have a complete story (in whatever form) which you can talk about from start to finish. Although you do not need to be published to attend, you do need to have a complete manuscript as the synopsis will include the full story you have written.

Olivia Chapman is the PR & Communications Manager for Writing West Midlands, and has been pitching books and scripts as well as events and festivals since she started working in publishing in 2005.
