All Stories mentorship programme for underrepresented children’s book writers
Deadline: Mon 31 May 2021
All Stories is a mentorship programme that offers free mentoring to talented writers from underrepresented backgrounds who are unable to pay for such support.

Fourteen mentorships are available, each delivered by a freelance editor, taking place from September 2021 to February 2022. Mentees will also benefit from webinars given by in-house editors about the industry and the craft of writing.

The chosen mentees will receive:

Six months of one-to-one mentoring from a freelance editor with many years of industry experience
Group webinars given by editors from a range of major and independent publishers about the children’s book industry and the craft of writing
An invitation to the exclusive online All Stories community where the mentees can discuss their work, raise questions, support each other and share experiences
A year’s membership to the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators

The mentorships will take place entirely online, through video calls and webinars. If preferred, you may agree to meet with your mentor by phone call.

You must be unagented and unpublished to apply.
