Apply for Arvon Playwriting Grant

Arvon are offering four grants of £600 for its Writing for Performance course at The Hurst, 2-7 December 2024, or its Dramatic Narratives course at Totleigh Barton (2-7 December 2024). The grant will cover part of the course fee, with the balance to be paid by the applicant. Open to those aged 18-29 only.
Writing for Performance
2-7 December, The Hurst
Join award-winning theatre-makers Katy Schutte and Chris Thorpe for a fun, low-pressure week of creating performance work. Katy will guide you through improvisation and pre-writing for scripts, while Chris focuses on flexible frameworks for interactive performances.
Dramatic Narratives
2-7 December, Totleigh Barton
This course is for anyone developing a dramatic story for stage or screen. Is it better suited for stage, film, or TV? Tutors Marilyn Milgrom and Jemma Kennedy will help you explore your story's structure and identify issues. You'll leave with clarity and fresh energy to move your project forward.
To apply, please complete our standard grant application form and return it to mailto:grants@arvon.org by Monday 28 October 2024. You will be notified of the outcome by the end of that week. This grant is separate from our main grants programme, which will be launched in early October.
