Artist in Residence, Philharmonia Orchestra
Deadline: Tue 1 Sep 2020
The Philharmonia seeks a socially engaged artist or collective from across the cultural world including literature to collaborate with the Orchestra. The Artist in Residence will create new artistic experiences across our 2020-2021 programme of activity.

We are interested in collaborating with artists from across the cultural world (including but not limited to music, dance, theatre, performance art, literature, visual arts, circus, burlesque etc.) to diversify our artistic offer and challenge us to work in new ways. The artist must represent an artform that is not classical music.

We want to create events and content that authentically represents and engages with our residencies’ diverse communities.

We seek an artist that can produce and programme live and recorded work whilst be willing to work in agile ways. Elements of this programme may change depending on social distancing and live event guidance from the UK government.

You do not need experience of working with orchestral music(ians) but must see the potential in collaboration.

Artist Fee: £12,000

The artist brief including application information is available via our website

Deadline: 1st September 2020
