Artistic Director and Finance & Operations Director (Joint CEOs), Poetry School

The Poetry School is hiring for two new high-level roles, an Artistic Director and a Finance & Operations Director, to act as Joint CEOs and share strategic responsibility at this exciting time for the organisation.

The Joint CEOs will have shared responsibility for the overall strategic direction of the organisation and will, together, shape the organisation’s priorities to ensure it has sufficient resource to deliver on that strategy.

Artistic Director (Joint CEO)

The Artistic Director will take responsibility for developing and delivering the Poetry School’s artistic and educational vision and mission, ensuring we continue to enable and inspire audiences to create and experience poetry. They will create and deliver a robust and ambitious creative plan and will ensure the Poetry School’s team are fully supported to deliver its objectives. The Artistic Director will have specific responsibility for artistic and creative programming, partnership management, fundraising, team management, and setting and safeguarding the organisation’s tone of voice and brand identity.

Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 3 or 4 days per week
Location: Home/London

Finance & Operations Director (Joint CEO)
The Finance and Operations Director will take responsibility for developing and delivering the Poetry School’s financial and business strategy, diversifying income streams, maintaining a healthy cashflow and ensuring efficient and robust financial and operational systems. The Finance and Operations Director will have specific responsibility for business planning, financial and operational strategy and delivery, daily and monthly financial processes, and delivery of the organisation’s policies and HR.

Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 3 or 4 days per week
Location: Home/London
