BBC Drama are working with Parti Productions to find three new writers to develop a TV series for BBC 3.
We are looking for writers from a British Asian background who already have professional writing experience in their field, be that journalists, novelists, playwrights. Or those currently in TV film who want to cross over, such as actors or directors. We will also look at those writers who have been in theatre, film or TV schemes.
We’re looking for ideas skewed towards a younger audience (18-35) that feel commercial and universal but also original and authentic. All ideas should be set in the UK and suited to a 6 x 30” format, and we need to understand how your idea could fit or be shaped to fit this.
The writers that we ultimately select will be paid to develop their idea and write Episode One of the series with Parti Productions and the BBC Drama department, working closely with Producer Nisha Parti and a BBC Drama Executive.
