Assistant Professor in Creative Writing, University College Dublin

Applications are invited for a temporary part-time post of an Assistant Prof/Lecturer in Creative Writing within UCD School of English, Drama and Film Studies.

Applicants must be established and experienced writers with a strong record of publication and be able to contribute to practice-based research developments in this rapidly developing area in the School.

Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and of curricular design and development, is required. Applicants should also be prepared to undertake doctoral supervision with appropriate support.

The successful applicant will have particular expertise in teaching Creative Writing, with a strong specialism in prose fiction. Additional teaching expertise in areas such as creative non-fiction (including memoir, personal essay, literary reportage and other forms of literary non-fiction) and/or poetry would be welcome.
