BBC Sounds Audio Lab is a podcast accelerator programme, the first of its kind from the BBC. We have one BIG ambition – to amplify the next-generation of UK podcasters and audio creatives.
We are giving six audio creatives the funding and support to make the next podcast everyone needs to hear. Open to UK residents aged 18 or over with between 1- 5 years podcast making or audio production experience.
Our package includes:
Bespoke training and mentoring
Award winning production and commissioning support
Marketing and promotion
Funding to turn your idea into a podcast for BBC Sounds & major podcast platforms
We want you to be as innovative as you like. ,Here’s some of the ways and styles you could choose:
• a monologue or spoken word
• a conversation between 2 or more people
• an entertaining or dramatic format
• documentary or factual style
• a soundscape of speech, music and/or sounds effects
• a hybrid or mixture of styles
This is a paid development opportunity for creatives passionate about podcast production. With expert production help, you will make your podcast in 3-6 months
The opportunity is open to people aged 18 or over who are normally a full-time resident in the UK. Applicants must have between 1- 5 years podcast making or audio production experience.
