Best Bad Poetry Competition 2025

In honour of famed Scottish poet William McGonagall, the International Ghost Society is running a Best Bad Poetry Competition. Submissions from anywhere welcome.
We’re looking for the most artfully terrible poem we can find; a verse that is technically awful but nonetheless remains entertaining or profound.
The competition is free to enter, and the first prize is £100 cash and a plate of peas. The winner will be announced at an event dedicated to William McGonagall on the 20th April 2025 in Edinburgh.
