Deadline: Tue 25 Sep 2018
The Buxton International Festival (BIF), a registered charity, runs a major Book Festival as part of its annual offering of an internationally recognised Festival of Opera, Music, and Books. The BIF Book Festival Organiser will be responsible for the development and delivery of the 40th Anniversary BIF Book Festival and has overall responsibility for all aspects from concept, development and content creation to delivery and evaluation.

The Book Festival celebrates the written word, literature and ideas; bringing together authors from all over the United Kingdom to take part in public events in the town of Buxton together with debates and other events in partnership with the British Academy, Waterstones and The Oldie..

There is a strong strand of debate and discussion events on a range of, ethical, cultural, historical and political as well as literary issues.

This contract will require a phased and managed approach to time across the year, with intense periods during and in the run up to the Festival.

The Festival offices are based in Buxton, however, we will accept applications from candidates who wish to work remotely.
