Art UK and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art (PMC) are inviting proposals for a workshop and resources, for young people (14–19 years old) across the UK, that explore how personal and critical responses to art can be shared through writing.
The workshop and resources will have a particular emphasis on: visual literacy and critical looking; instilling confidence in sharing personal perspectives; and the range of ways art can be responded to through writing.
The period of work would be from November 2024 – June 2025.
The successful applicant can be based anywhere in the UK. The delivery of workshops for this project would take them across the UK and the PMC will cover the cost of travel/expenses for this.
Fee: The successful applicant would be paid £3350 for development and delivery of the workshop and resources, and have a travel/expenses budget of up to £1200
More information about this opportunity can be found on the PMC’s website, including a guidance document that provides further context about the call.
