Community Engagement Manager, Manchester City Of Literature

This is a new role in an ambitious, new not-for-profit organisation set up to manage Manchester's UNESCO designation as a City Of Literature.

Manchester City Of Literature has been established by a partnership led by Manchester City Council, The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.

The Community Engagement Manager role will conceive and coordinate engagement projects in community and education settings, working in collaboration with Manchester City Of Literature’s partnership network of publishers, festivals, writing agencies, libraries, cultural organisations and the education sector. 

The post will suit someone with excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to inspire trust and cooperation, who is goal-oriented and hard-working, and with strong knowledge and understanding of the needs of Manchester’s communities and young people facing challenge.

21 hours per week, 0.6 full-time equivalent. Salary: £27K pro-rata, 3 year contract in the first instance
