Community Writing Workshop Facilitator, Unbound Theatre
Deadline: Wed 20 Mar 2024
We're seeking an enthusiastic practitioner to help lead writing activities at live events in Aylesbury, Bucks, as part of our new community writing project, 'The Aylesbury Anthology'. Open to Buckinghamshire creatives only.
Unbound are thrilled to be launching 'The Aylesbury Anthology' - a brand-new outreach writing project aiming to create a compendium of new short stories penned by members of the local community.
The anthology itself will consist of a handmade book, held on a carved wooden lectern. It will be housed at Queens Park Arts Centre, with the ability to tour to other venues in the town. A selection of stories will be hand-written into the book, with others posted online as part of a new digital library.
As part of our work to engage with the local community and get them writing, we're looking for an experienced writer / workshop leader to attend several local events in Aylesbury. They'll be responsible for running 'taster' writing activities to both promote the project to visitors, and also help them start their stories.
The applicant must be based in Buckinghamshire - the anthology project is being run as part of a funded grant to create jobs for creatives in our home county, and so applications from those outside Buckinghamshire cannot be considered.
The project fee will be £1,000, payable in monthly instalments via invoice.
