Creative Lead: Community Writing, Literature Works
Deadline: Sun 16 Jan 2022
Calling out to Torbay: a fantastic opportunity for two Creative Lead practitioners to help shape and realise community-based creative activities, using words and stories for self-expression and wellbeing.

This is a developing area for Literature Works and one that we are very excited about. Join us in co-designing work which harnesses the power of our stories to shape our lives and strengthen our communities.

We are developing a model with self-expression through stories and creative writing at its heart: a powerful tool for community building and supporting marginalised groups.

We co-create activities and courses with groups who are marginalised, at risk, or experiencing life challenges. This way, the communities we work with have a role in designing how they use creative expression through words and what they want to learn and produce. Our initial phase focuses on three places in our region: Exeter, Torbay and Plymouth.

We are grateful for the support of this work from the Sigrid Rausing Trust.
