Creative Writer, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice
Deadline: Fri 3 May 2019
The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a well-established charity. We have recently moved to our new purpose built home located within Bellahouston Park, Glasgow. Your role will be to support patients to develop their own creative writing practice and to deliver one-to-one or group person-centred creative writing sessions.

The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a progressive, life-threatening illness and support for their families and carers. The Art Room is an integral part of hospice services which provides a process-based approach to visual art and creative writing, tailored to each individual’s needs and interests.

The role of Creative Writer requires that you have excellent communication skills along with a high level of experience working as a professional practising writer. When working with a participant you should be able to make reference to other historical and contemporary writing practices.

Combined with this you will also have excellent attention to detail along with good organisational skills. You should be confident using PC / Apple computers.

As part of the team you will be expected to liaise closely with clinical & art staff. The freelance position is for 1 day / week for 30 days / year, some flexibility required. Rate: £125/day.
