We are looking for a fun and inspiring creative writing tutor to deliver group courses to primary school-aged children. You must have at least 1-3 years experience of teaching children of primary school age in group settings either in a supportive or a coaching role. Ideally, you will hold a post-graduate degree in English or Creative Writing and have had previous experience teaching creative writing.
You will bring a passion for working with children, a friendly personality, excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour which you will exercise with children, parents and staff.
You will be an expert wordsmith with a firm grasp of all areas of creative writing, including plotting, storyboarding, character creation and the effective use of literary devices.
A passion for reading and knowledge of classic and current children's literature is a distinctive advantage, as well as some theatre experience.
Ideally, you have already worked with children with special educational needs.
Offered salary: £30 p/h. One and two-hour slots available on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings 09:30-13:00.
