Open Age, the charity empowering older people in London to stay active, stay curious and stay connected, are looking for an enthusiastic freelance tutor to join our Adult Community Learning (ACL) team in September 2026.
Our ACL programme is funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC) and offers lively, sociable classes in a warm and welcoming community setting. Courses usually run for 2 hours per week over 5/10-weeks.
Current Opportunities
We are particularly interested in hearing from a tutor who can deliver a Creative Writing course, at our centre near Sloane Square: New Horizons, Guinness Trust Estate,: Cadogan Steet, London SW3 2PF. We need someone on Fridays, 12.30-2.30pm
What We Offer
• £30 per hour (includes planning, delivery and paperwork)
• DBS check costs covered by us
What We’re Looking For
• A teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Independent public liability insurance
• Passion for teaching adults, in a supportive, community-based environment
